What a great week for Linkin Park! They have reached for the sixth time No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 chart with One More Light!
The article states 111,000 units were sold in the first week, May 19th – May 25th, based on a multi-metric consumption, including album sales and streaming.
Another great thing to celebrate is:
Topping the chart for the sixth time, Linkin Park joins a small group of rock bands that have done the same. Just nine rock bands in total have scored at least six No. 1 albums: The Beatles (with 19), The Rolling Stones (nine), Led Zeppelin and U2 (both with seven), and Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Eagles, Linkin Park and Metallica (all with six each)
If you think this is excellent, there is more to it. Another Billboard article says Linkin Park have become the No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart in the U.S for the first time! They are the first rock band to do so since Bon Jovi last November.
The Artist 100, which launched in July 2014, measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
This a huge soar from last week’s No. 50, mostly because of the new album. Congratulations, guys!
