Eva was so great to make some screenshots from Mike’s visit to “What’s Trending”. Unfortunately the livestream wasn’t available in Germany, so I can’t tell you much about it, but I will post the video here as soon as it’s online!

Whats Trending just aired a live chat with Mike Shinoda where they put fan questions to Mike, we have screenshots in the gallery and a summary of the part of the chat we caught below, we’re hoping they upload the video, if so we’ll have that soon too.

• He said that he has a facebook page that isn’t under his name and doesn’t have any photos of him on.
• When not working – art, before shows, interviews killing time he usually sketches. He talked about his parent’s giving him napkins to draw on while they were eating at restaurants.
• He talked about the art team behind the album artwork, he called himself and Joe creative directors behind everything you see for Linkin Park.
• Social networking, he said that Facebook is good for the band, he talked about the LITE video.
• He was asked which LP song he related to the most emotionally – he mocked the question then he said he’s enjoying playing the newer songs live since they’re new, he mentioned Lost In The Echo and Victimized.
• He said that seeing them live you get a much rawer experience. He said as a fan and a musician he finds it more memorable.
• Musical inspirations – he said he grew up on hip hop such as Beastie Boys, RUN DMC, LL Cool J, Boogie Down Productions, Big Daddy Kane. He talked about Rick Rubin producing a lot of the music he listens to, which made him nervous at first, but Rick is mellow so he can be comfortable around him.
