As a special gift to Mike’s 36th birthday, Linkin Park Fan Corner presents the “Random Acts of Kindness” Year!

If you want to be a part of LPFC’s birthday video for Mike in 2014, you have to participate in this project, because we won’t make another video!

UPDATE: The deadline to send in your lists is February 2, 2014! Participants who send in photos will be featured more prominently! You can also send us links to your lists and photos! Incomplete lists are alright, too, if they have at least 20 entries, but again won’t be featured as prominently as fans with complete lists.

Here’s our message to Mike and a detailed description about the project:

Dear Mike! First of all, happy birthday! I hope you can enjoy your special day with the family and friends!
You and your band mates have always inspired your fans and other people, organizations, etc. to bring something good into the world. You have shown us that awareness of our environment, kindness and selfless acts make our lives richer. This is why I’m celebrating your birthday today by starting a very special year on this day. From today until February 11, 2014, the Linkin Park fans will be amongst the kindest people on earth – all in the name of Shinoda!

We challenge every Linkin Park fan to do 36 RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESSfrom now until February 11, 2014!

I know this is a special challenge, but I’m sure many of you already do “random acts of kindness” – small things that make people happy – without noticing it. You can find a few more creative examples below. The real challenge is to stick with the challenge until you’ve finished it, which might take a while, but I’m sure you can do it!

Document your progress/Make a list!

Do it wherever you feel comfortable, Facebook, your blog, Tumblr, Instagram, the LPU, your notebook, etc. I will look for your progress reports and motivate you a bit by retweeting & sharing them!
