A recent interview with Loudwire touches base on June’s inaugural Loudwire Festival, in which Linkin Park headlined its second night after A Day To Remember, their second close touring after a collaborative performance at Warped Tour last year. Their experience with Tom Morello and The Hunting Party‘s other featured artists is also discussed, the sixth studio album the first to include other musicians.
Stepping away from Linkin Park, RWD Magazine has an exclusive interview with Mike Shinoda on Fort Minor, talking about the single to “Welcome” the end of a ten year hiatus and its ‘ground-breaking’ video shot in 360 degree angles, a near virtual experience on the YouTube app for iPhones and Androids.
Fort Minor has always been about representing his own identity, with little to no compromise. “It has to feel like a hip-hop song that doesn’t benefit from being run through the Linkin Park writing machine,” says Shinoda, considering what makes a song distinctly Fort Minor. “I have to be able to listen to it and say ‘That 100% represents me individually as a person.’ And there’s different pieces of that.”
