The remaining dates for the North American hunt of The Hunting Party Tour have been canceled due to an injury to Chester Bennington’s ankle. Broken after their incredible performance in Nashville, a Meet & Greet in Indianapolis was still attended despite his injury, later on performing- crutches and his “scooter thingy” in tow.
Initially, Mike making the best of what happened with #TheLimpingPartyTour, only two following shows were cancelled- Pittsburgh, PA and Albany, NY.
Today, it was determined further and immediate medical attention is required:
“Linkin Park regret to inform their fans they must cancel the remaining dates of The Hunting Party Tour through February 14th, due to a leg injury of lead vocalist Chester Bennington. The injury requires immediate medical attention making it physically impossible for Bennington to perform.”
The official statement released to fans includes Chester’s message, “I’m really disappointed this injury has made it impossible to continue with this tour. The first couple of shows were just magical. We will truly miss not being with our fans for the next few weeks. Hope to see you again soon.”
Refunds will be handled through select points of purchase, and furthermore, LPU Summit Passes purchased for the 13th Summit originally to be held in Calgary, Canada will be automatically refunded through ground(ctrl).
As disappointed as fans may be along side Chester, we remain just as that- along side him. The amount of well wishes from around the world is amazing, and we thank our fellow Soldiers for the understanding and unconditional love shown to him.
@burningdaylite on Twitter made a Tumblr for fans to submit “Get Well!” messages, and cards may be sent to LPU at the address: PO Box 36915, Los Angeles, CA 90036
