Linkin Park debuted “Heavy” for its television performance on The Late Late Show with James Corden tonight. This marks the second time the first single for One More Light was performed live, featured guest vocalist, Kiiara, present for both. Going by the amount of rehearsals, we can expect to see more performances like tonight.
The band spent the day sharing videos of their time backstage prior to the pre-recording on the afternoon of February 27th, Shinoda having a meltdown for his wig on his Instagram Story and harrassing Phoenix; meanwhile, Hahn posted videos to his feed. Over on Snapchat, their official account LinkinParkLive shared more scenes from backstage.
The performance on The Late Late Show marks the first in fifteen months for Linkin Park, kicking off the promo shows before the album drops May 19th. Not a common occurence, the Linkin Park Underground members were offered chances to win tickets to attend- if you haven’t yet, you can join with select One More Light pre-orders HERE for upcoming opportunities.
Watch “Heavy” performed by Linkin Park and Kiiara below. Does the live performance change your opinion on the song? Chester’s voice is quite arguably at its best- get excited for the tours!
If you missed it, “Heavy” was first performed on Linkin Park’s Facebook Live with ‘acoustic’ renditions of “Crawling” and “Burn It Down.”
