The fifth design for the XVLP: Collaborative Apparel Collection was released today by Complex Style Magazine online, Brooklyn Projects the fifth brand to collaborate with Linkin Park in this project celebrating fifteen years since the debut of Hybrid Theory.
Though Linkin Park and Brooklyn Projects have not collaborated prior to XVLP, the history is there; Shinoda and Hahn sat down with Dom Deluca of Brooklyn Projects who was an A&R trying to sign the young band to labels like Island Def Jam- just to have them call then-Linkin Park ‘a third rate Limp Bizkit trying to be Korn, trying to be Deftones.’
Deluca assures the person behind those words was without that job for obvious reasons. Check out the interview below.
The release by Brooklyn Projects is a simple unisex grey sweatshirt, a unique logo for Brooklyn Projects collaborating for XVLP on the left chest on the front, a redesigned look of the alternative Soldier art on the back. Each sweatshirt is $68.00 USD and limited to 150. Additionally, with the same design, is a grey unisex tee.
One final reveal is left for XVLP, RVCA set to release their design this Tuesday. The first release for XVLP by BAPE is sold out, but limited amounts remain for CLOT, The Hundreds, and The Seventh Letter. Each limited edition design can be purchased HERE.
