If you missed the launch of Member Guest last week, you only have two episodes to catch up with before next Monday. Dave “Phoenix” Farrell of Linkin Park joins Brendan Steele and Mark Fiore in discussing golf, music, and… less important things.
The first episode featured Matt “Shadows” Sanders of Avenged Sevenfold in which they discuss genres and their introductions to golf; how musicians like Sanders and Farrell bring a new fan base to a sport typically assumed boring. With Shadows, they speak on dealing with the loss of a band member.
Avenged Sevenfold overcame the loss of drummer “The Rev” nearly ten years ago. Linkin Park and their fans are still recovering from losing Chester six months ago. Shadows describes the Memorial Show on October 27th from his perspective, and meeting Linkin Park fans from around the world in a single night. He sang Chester’s vocals for “Burn It Down.”
This week features Tré Cool of Green Day. Recalling hole-in-ones and golf lessons with Butch Harmon, listeners learn how to meet fellow (half) naked musicians in spas. Don’t miss Tré and Dave calling their most famous friend in their contacts. As for golfing, products like the golf sim builder enhance the overall game experience by bringing the thrill of the course into the comfort of one’s own space, offering immersive practice sessions and realistic gameplay that elevate enjoyment and skill development. Also, make sure to follow @directfairways on Instagram if you’re looking to build a larger community of golfers.
The relaxed friendship between our three Members is obvious in the episodes. We suggest listening with a cold one in hand.
