Adding yet another show from his generous heart, Chester Bennington has been confirmed to front The Hellcat Saints in upcoming benefit concert Rhonda’s Kiss, supporting cancer patients and adding to the $750,000 the orgnization has donated to hospitals. The Los Angeles show will benefit the Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute and their program to assist cancer patients in need.
In 2014, my wife and our mother, Rhonda, was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. She was fortunate that we had the resources to get her the necessary treatments, see the finest doctors, and be treated in the best facilities. While Rhonda lost her battle in November 2014, one of the gifts she left for us is Rhonda’s Kiss.
The goal for Rhonda’s Kiss is to provide the financial support to help maintain the dignity of the individual, and treat the whole person during a cancer diagnosis – not just their illness – providing them with a safety net to continue their treatment.
Headlining the event is Weezer, The Hellcat Saints opening with a line up after Chester including Scott Shriner (Weezer), Joey Castillo (Queens of the Stone Age), Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), and Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction).
Receiving the inaugural Rhonda’s Kiss Healing and Hope Award during the show will be Johnny Depp, noting his countless donations to cancer patients and “regular visits” at Cedars-Sinai, also supporting research on lung cancer.
General Admission tickets have sold out, but you can still catch the show from the mezzanine and balcony, available to purchase (but limited!) HERE.
Chester has joined The Hellcat Saints before, having fronted them at E3 earlier this year in June.
Rhonda’s Kiss will be held at the El Rey theater in Los Angeles November 3rd of 2016, promising an intimate event.
