Linkin Park Revolution is one of Germany’s biggest Linkin Park fansites and the only one with a message board. Besides posting all the Linkin Park news, they also do some fun stuff like contests and I really enjoyed their soccer prediction game during the last European championship XD. If you can speak German, you should get registered there and be a part of their community! One of their staff members, James, was so nice to answer a few questions for me.
When was Linkin Park Revolution founded? Can you briefly describe the process?
Well, Records say it was the 24th of April 2005. For me it’s kind of impossible to describing the foundation process, as for the current Administrators (Jacob, Roman and me) were not involved in the foundation process.
What was the main reason of starting the site?
I would guess, the founders did it the share the interest with other people. that was the main reason why I took over back in 2011.
What were your personal highlights in the history of the LPR so far and were there moments when you had problems to maintain the site?
My personal Highlights were the fusions between LPRevolution and Hybridsoldier, and the Fusion between LPRevolution and LPGermany.
Actually we always have problems maintaining the Site, especially the Board because changing and Update the Board is always a hard act to do, but we always seem to manage it.
Linkin Park Revolution is one of the biggest German fansites and probably the only major site in German language with a message board. Do you think it’s important for the German fans to have their own fansite and message board? If yes, why?
In times of social networking it’s hard keeping a certain amount of active users on the message board, but I actually find it very import because, that is how you make contact with other fans and the only proper way of sharing interests with others instead of just liking things that other people post on facebook.
Even though I know the LPR for quite a while, I just recently found the „Fan Campaigns“ section with a small but pretty cool feature. Fans can get registered there as „Sons/Daughters of the Revolution“ and add a brief profile with information on how they discovered Linkin Park etc. Do you think that there are more features of the site that many fans seem to overlook? If yes, can you briefly describe those features?
Well I guess there are some features that fans don’t know because, the page is kind of complex. One of those features would be rating songs, I haven’t quite figured out how to use it and that’s kind of embarrassing for me.
What have you planned for the LPR in the future? Is there a part of the site that you want to improve on?
Well we are working on the 8th Version of LPRevolution and there are lots of news things coming like a mobile site and more, but I don’t want to tell more because it’s kind of a secret, but you’ll defiantly see when it’s time.
Thanks for the Interview 😉

Adie: Big thanks to James from the LPR staff! I have a feeling that the next interview is especially interesting for the Chester Bennington fans… ;-D
