I’ve never been a fan of rating songs from 0-10. I’m more partial to the idea of a tier list. Here’s the basic idea:
There are 6 tiers in which a song can be rated. It’s purely subjective to your own point of view. I’ll be compiling the overall opinions of the forum via a point system and updating this post with a definitive tier list.
GOD TIER (SS TIER) – This is reserved for songs that you consider a complete mastery of music. If you can’t think of anything WRONG with the song, it goes here. Worth 5 points.
S TIER – Songs that are just short of perfection are S Tier. Worth 4 points.
A TIER – This is for songs that are great but have shortcomings that prevent it from reaching near-perfection. Worth 3 points.
B TIER – Good songs that have the potential to be great, but fall short. Worth 2 points.
C TIER – This is for songs that you are ambivalent towards. The best description here is “average”. You skip these songs about 50% of the time. Worth 1 point.
F TIER – You just don’t like these songs. At all. These songs are the ones you skip without fail. Worth nothing.So let’s see your tiers!
