LINKIN PARK ITALY: Hi Ryan! Firstly, congratulations for becoming one of the winners of the LPU Sessions contest, your song was impressive.
 
RYAN GILES: Thanks! I appreciate you checking out my music.
 
LPI: Let’s go with some questions. Who are you? And what’s your main musical inspiration?
 
RG: My name is Ryan Giles. I am a Songwriter/Musician from Los Angeles,CA. I’ve had the opportunity to work/write with many great bands like ‘Fuel, Shinedown, & now Linkin Park’. I’ve played guitar in a few different bands over the years. I have so many musical inspirations it would be impossible to narrow it down. I will say that Pink Floyd,Guns N Roses, and Iron Maiden are the reason I started playing guitar.
 
LPI: What was your reaction after discovering that you had been selected as a winner of the LPU Session contest?
 
RG: Like any LP fan I was beyond excited! I’ve always wanted to work with Linkin Park so winning this contest and getting to work with them has been an amazing experience!
 
LPI: How was working with Linkin Park? Would you like to repeat the experience if you had another chance?
 
RG: It was amazing working with Linkin Park. Those guys are insanely talented and of course I would want to repeat this experience again and again! Words can’t describe my emotion.
 
LPI: Can you describe your song that will be featured on LPU XIII?
 
RG: The song that is on LPU XIII is just a powerful melodic song full of emotions. It’s hard to describe. We’ll just have to see what others say about it.
 
LPI: Do you have any future projects? Will you release an album?
 
RG: I’m mainly writing songs with other artists/bands at the moment, but I am also working on a new project with Jordan Lee ( former singer of Soil/Silvergun ) and we will be releasing new music soon and I can’t wait for people to hear it.
